Dr. Berrin Özdil Bay is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in cancer biology, cancer stem cells, and biophysical characterization techniques. She received her B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from İzmir Institute of Technology. She completed her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Histology and Embryology at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, with research focused on cancer epigenetics, extracellular matrix remodeling, and stemness regulation in melanoma.
During her academic journey, she conducted international research at Cardiff University (UK) and at the University of Liverpool. Currently, she is affiliated with İzmir Institute of Technology Department of Physics, where she applies ATR-FTIR and Raman spectroscopy to study cancer stem cells and matrix biology. Her research integrates molecular biology, microscopy, and label-free spectroscopic imaging to investigate therapeutic vulnerabilities in aggressive tumors.
Dr. Özdil Bay is involved in nationally and EU-funded projects, and passionate about multidisciplinary research, global collaboration, and advancing science through innovative technologies.
