Dr. Emre Dokuzparmak is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Bioengineering, Ege University. As a YLSY scholar, he completed his Ph.D. at the University of Strathclyde, where he focused on electrochemical analyses for criminology, particularly on the development of electrochemiluminescence (ECL)-based sensor systems.
After completing his doctorate, he broadened his research to the design of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-based sensors and their integration into electrochemical and optical detection platforms, with the aim of developing highly sensitive detection systems for forensic, environmental, and biomedical applications.
His research encompasses the selective detection of pesticides, illicit drugs, environmental pollutants, and biomarkers through advanced sensor technologies. Within the scope of his research projects, he has developed patented technologies and published in leading international journals. His long-term academic goal is to contribute to the development of innovative, portable, and high-performance detection systems at the intersection of nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and sensor science.
