Asst. Prof. Emine Sezer
AI Research Specialist
Dr. Emine Sezer is a faculty member (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Computer Engineering, Ege University. She holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dokuz Eylül University and both an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Ege University.
Her expertise spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP), with applications in health, biomedical research, and molecular imprinting (MIP) synthesis. She has actively collaborated on interdisciplinary projects, integrating AI with experimental workflows to advance both fundamental science and applied research. Beyond academia, she has provided consultancy for industrial R&D projects, applying AI-driven solutions to optimize processes and accelerate innovation.
At Ege University, Dr. Sezer has also served in several leadership roles, including Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Deputy Coordinator of the Research Office, Coordinator for Social Responsibility Projects, and Deputy Coordinator for the Quality Office. These responsibilities reflect her commitment to academic governance, research management, and societal engagement.
In addition to her scientific work, she is the author of the novel “Mutlu Aile Çöplüğü”, highlighting her interest in bridging science, culture, and society.
